Large Fire Blanket 3m x 3m for Industrial and Commercial Use

When a fire involves a large surface, such as a machine, a workbench, a spill or a vehicle component, a standard 1.2m or 1.8m fire blanket won’t cover it. The NeonSafety 3m x 3m fire blanket gives you more than nine square metres of heat-resistant fabric. That lets you smother larger fires and shield equipment during hot works.

How a Fire Blanket Works

A fire needs oxygen, heat and fuel. A fire blanket cuts off the oxygen by covering the fire, which smothers the flames. Fire blankets leave no powder or chemical residue, so clean-up is simpler than with an extinguisher. They are also easy to use without training.

Where to Use a 3m x 3m Fire Blanket

  • Welding bays and hot works areas: use it as a welding blanket to protect nearby surfaces from sparks and spatter
  • Mechanical workshops and automotive garages
  • Warehouses, factories and manufacturing sites
  • Mine sites and industrial facilities across WA
  • Commercial kitchens with large cooking areas
  • Laboratories and schools
  • Worksites that need large-area fire cover near flammable materials

Using the Fire Blanket

  3. Place the blanket over the fire. Do not throw it.
  4. Turn off the heat or fuel source if it is safe to do so.
  5. Leave the blanket in place until the fire is out and the area has cooled completely.
  6. Call 000 if the fire is not fully extinguished.

Australian workplaces must provide suitable fire safety equipment for the hazards on site. AS 2444 guides the selection and location of portable fire extinguishers and fire blankets. AS 1851 requires fire blankets to be inspected regularly as part of routine fire equipment servicing. NeonSafety’s qualified technicians can advise on the right fire blanket sizes and placement for your site.
